Laura I. Miroballi grew up in Orland Park and graduated from Carl Sandburg High School. Thereafter, Laura went on to graduate from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and minor in Economics. During her time as an undergraduate, she was actively involved in residence hall government, a member of the Honors College and worked multiple jobs at once to pay for her education. Laura moved back to Illinois and began residing in Will County. Laura went on to receive her Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois in 2007. During law school she was an active member of Phi Alpha Delta and the Brehon Society. Laura completed a judicial externship for a Judge in Pinellas County, Florida who was on the family court call.

After graduating from John Marshall, Laura worked for an Orland Park firm specializing in divorce, paternity and custody matters in Cook and Will County. Thereafter, Laura worked for large Will County firm practicing family law, adoption and real estate in Cook, Will, Kendall, DuPage, Kane, Kankakee, and Grundy counties. As an associate attorney with Reich, Jumbeck, Stole & Reeb, L.L.P., Laura focuses her practice exclusively on family law, including issues of allocation of decision-making and parenting time, child support, maintenance, and property division. Laura is also a mediator and serves as a Guardian ad Litem.

Laura understands the difficulty of divorce as her parents were divorced when she was 14 years of age. Laura is married and has two stepchildren that have given her additional insight into how blended families work, as well as how to positively work together with another parent after a divorce.

Laura is a twice elected Trustee for Frankfort Township after her appointment in 2015. She is the treasurer and vice president of her Homeowner's Association as well as the Treasurer of the Will County Women's Bar Association. In Laura's free time, which is limited, she enjoys attending concerts and traveling to new cities with her family and two dogs, Jameson and Rocky.
